In 2010, efforts were combined with the objective of creating an online platform for the implementation and upkeep of Safety Management Systems, particularly tailored for safety-critical companies, notably those in the aviation industry.
With a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in safety and quality management, it was disheartening to encounter outdated administrative methods.
This dissatisfaction prompted a thorough examination of the time spent on safety and quality administration. Results revealed that approximately 25% of a quality manager's time and roughly 29% of a safety manager's time were dedicated to these administration tasks. Additionally, over 35% of the time spent on airline documentation was consumed by purely administrative processes. These processes were also susceptible to failure, often relying on individual efforts rather than well-defined and monitored procedures.
The logical progression was to explore avenues for enhancing these processes. Thus, the inception of a cloud-based platform became our new endeavor. In 2011, the development journey of AvioData commenced. Initially, modules such as the actions module (for electronic CAR forms), event reporting (ASR reporting form), and document control were prioritized. Subsequent iterations saw the introduction of numerous modules aimed at enhancing the system's usability. Today, AvioData stands as a comprehensive management tool, significantly streamlining airline management processes.
